Kindle Vs Nook, Movies, Apps, Games, Music, Reading And More
Looking for a cool e-reader? So here it is: Kindle vs Nook? So which one is the best in my opinion? Here are some obvious comparison points. I love the Kindle more. I know this through personal experience. Reasons to love the kindle are many. You will have to decide yourself. Also, I think the Kindle has a much brighter future. Anyway here are 11 good points:
-The Size: Kindle is actually 40% thinner than Nook, and 1 inch taller.
-Weight: Kindle is around 3oz lighter than the original Nook. 7oz lighter than Nook Color.
-Battery: Nook beats Kindle for battery life in some cases. If not using the Internet Kindles battery lasts about 4 weeks, as the old Nook lasts 2 weeks, but Nook Touch lasts 8 weeks, now the Nook Color will last about 8 hours.
-Screen:The Kindle 3 is just better than the original Nook fro contrast in the viewer, but it is the same as the new Nook Touch of 2011. Glare does not exist on both readers, except on the Nook Color, which uses an LCD monitor like an ipad.
-Navigation: This is the negative for Kindle: it uses real buttons and a toggle for navigation instead of touch screen, personal preference. Yes Nook has touch screen in different sizes.
-Memory: Kindle rules. It is important to have enough memory so you can take your virtual library with you. Kindles memory is twice as big as Nook. While K3 isn’t expandable, Nook is, I will cost you more.
-Free books: kindle has more free books, but Nook has them too. Nook will support .ePub public library books. Kindle Books can be found at 11,000 public libraries, and in free .mobi format online.
-3G Connection: This is the coolest: Kindle has 3G free real Internet! Sorry to say that the Nook Touch and Color come only with WiFi.
-Rating: Kindle: 4.5,
Nook: 3.7 to 4.3.
-Price: Kindle is cheaper, with a big book selection. And eBooks are cheaper on Amazon.
-Making the Kindle selection incredibly diverse, offering very low priced but high quality independent books, Kindle is smart, and makes it really easy for authors to publish their books on the Kindle.
Then again if you get the new Kindle tablet Fire for a mere $199.00 that can do everything an ipad can do, personally there is no compression.
You make the choice. Nook isn't bad, but I think they will have to do something miraculous to beat Kindle. With the exception of the glare I personally think that ibook browsers from the Ipad is better than Kindle. No one will be able to beat Amazons book market that soon.
